About Scouterblog.com
Let’s have an honest forum, where we can discuss whether Scouting really WAS better in past generations
On Scouterblog.com, our aim is to breakdown current scouting issues by exploring the evolution of the various programs in scouting over the past century.
Scotuerblog.com is moderated by, P Todd Kelly, President of Big Rock Publishing, and Tax Traxx LLC. Todd is an Eagle Scout, a former professional scouter, a former camp director, and a current council volunteer. Todd was the 2008 Course Director of Tali Atsila, an Advanced Outdoor Skills Training course, conducted by the Northeast Georgia Council, BSA.
Todd’s interests in Scouting include the Early Days of the movement (1910-1950), Scouting in North Georgia, and the writings of the founders. Todd has amassed a collection of dozens of old Scout Handbooks, hundreds of magazines, old photos and countless patches.
Contributors to Scouterblog.com include some of Todd’s most trusted Scouting cohorts (and others he’s not so sure about) who, combined, have more than 500 years of service to Scouting. If you would like to be a contributor to Scouterbog.com and have a story to tell, or if you would like to add your blog to our blogroll, please let us know at tkscout@comcast.net.
